NVSC8 - Tamia Day 5
Kids had a gala time dancing after their talent show last night. They have enjoyed the camp. This morning, they woke up early, packed, cleaned their tents and started their homeward journey after breakfast. We hope you will listen to all their stories and continue their regular exposure to nature and the wonderful outdoors. Research shows that Nature is essential for the physical, mental and emotional well being of children while free play outdoors helps to build life skills like problem solving, decision making, risk taking and interpersonal relationship.

NVSC8 - Tamia Day 4
Post Lunch yesterday, the 2 groups on camp went for ropes course challenges. They enjoyed the swinging and friendship ladders most. In the evening, the kids played Minute to Win It games. Meanwhile, Ghanti Bajaa enjoyed their nightout. Their self-cooked dinner and sleeping under the stars were the highlights and they returned excited and happy this morning. All the groups did their final activities, be it ropes course or rappelling. After lunch, they will be engaging in a high energy round of Youreka Premiere League, pitting against each other. This will be followed by closing ceremonies and then Talent Night. Kids are doing great.

NVSC8 - Tamia Day 2
The group reached campus safely at around 3.10pm yesterday. They started their camp with a short campus briefing and then settled into the allocated tents. The kids were divided into 3 activity groups and after some rest, they started with ice breaker games and then did expectation sharing. They named their groups Bheka Bhai, Ghanti Bajaa and The Heaters. In the evening, they played "Know your Leaders" which was a high point of the day.
Kids woke up to a sunny day and started with energisers at chota hazari. After breakfast, Bheka Bhai and The Heaters went to learn survival skills like navigation, backpacking, fire-making and tent pitching. They will get a chance tonight to apply all these skills in their nightout. After lunch, they will set out towards their camping spot, pitch their tents, set up a fire & cook their own dinner. They will sleep in the wilderness and return tomorrow morning to campus. Ghanti Bajaa went for rappelling this morning and post lunch will attempt the low ropes course. Kids are doing fine.
This was her 6th Camp!
I have sent my daughter almost every year to a Youreka camp since she was age 9. So this was her 6th camp. She has gone to different locations and I have always been very happy about the arrangements and activities we chose. In this day and age of gadgets and distractions, Youreka is like a breath of fresh air. So many life skills and survival skills are taught. I personally have Youreka to thank for how she has shaped up as a person. Learnt to be independent and open to adventures. Three cheers!
New Story Everyday!
It is almost 4 months now since my daughter attended the J4 2016 at Youreka as a White Star participant. Till today hardly a day goes by without some new story from camp suddenly remembered, or some moment relived!
Went to a Youreka camp 17yrs ago...
I went to a Youreka camp about 17 yrs ago -- and I still remember it as the most positive and fascinating experience of my life at the time. I have camped in other places and countries since -- but heck, I miss the experience which Youreka provided when I was a kid.
"Absolutely amazing n awesome experience my holiday could not have been better than this " This is what my daughter said as soon as she met me .
New level of enthusiasm and confidence!
It gives me immense pleasure to share that the class 11 camp to Kambre has had a different impact on our students and educators. The students have thoroughly enjoyed all the activities they were exposed too. They also shared the interactive sessions which were handled by your team. The exposure provided to them has lifted them to a whole new level of enthusiasm, energy, confidence and attitude.
Wonderful Experience with Youreka. Everything was properly planned. Nice Hospitality, neat and clean place to stay. Tasty Food and amazing Mentors.. Looking forward for many more experience
I found her different, changed and very confident
When I received Meher at the railway station on the 20th of June, I found a different, changed and very confident Meher. There was something different about the way she was carrying herself. Her body language had changed. This very Meher who was so scared of dogs before she went for this trip, was actually getting a stray dog to smell her hand so as to get friendly with it. it took her 3, 4 days to get over the disappointment of coming back from the camp. She has shared so much with us and wants to go back every year. We as parents are very happy and thrilled and wish to thank everybody in The team Youreka for fantabulous work they do. Thanks once again.
