DAS6 - Program Updates

DAS6 - Dharamshala Day 5
The day started with clouds and a drizzle. Looks like the camp is sad to see the boys leave. Kids woke up this morning, packed up their bags, cleaned their tents and had breakfast. Post breakfast, they sat down to do their closing ceremonies with sharing and appreciation. The group had their lunch and then bid their goodbyes to the camp with mixed emotions. We hope you will listen to all their stories and continue their regular exposure to nature and the wonderful outdoors. Research shows that Nature is essential for the physical, mental and emotional well being of children while free play outdoors helps to build life skills like problem solving, decision making, risk taking and interpersonal relationships.

DAS6 - Dharamshala Day 1
A large bunch of excited boys reached the campus this morning. Energy was super high despite the long travel from Agra. Kids had their breakfast, got a briefing and settled into their tents. They's been divided into three activity groups and started off with expectation sharing, norm setting and ice breaker games. After lunch, the groups will go on an acclimatisation hike where they will learn Mountain Manners & LNT (Leave No Trace) principles. This will be followed by Snacks, reflection time & evening camp fun activities. Kids are all doing fine & enjoying the cool Mountain air.

Warmly
Team Youreka
