Bombay Scottish - Bhillar Day 5
Kids put up a lovely Talent Show with singing, dancing, mimicry, rap last night. The rest were cheering throughout. They loved the dance time after dinner where the teachers joined them. Kids are totally hooked to the energisers and ended the night with a medley!
This morning, the group woke up, packed their bags, cleaned their tents & had their closing ceremonies after breakfast. They started on their homeward journey soon after. We hope you will listen to all their stories and continue their regular exposure to nature and the outdoors. Research shows that regular exposure to nature can reduce stress and anxiety and increase energy and creativity. Nature is essential to the physical, mental & emotional well being of our children.

Bombay Scottish - Bhillar Day 4
The day yesterday was hectic but everyone had a good time. Strawberry plucking was the highlight. Many of them wanted to go back to plucking. The service projects at the village went off really well. The students prepared with skits in Marathi and Hindi. They painted some dustbins and made some charts with messages on them and put them at different areas in the village. They later played Kho Kho, did energisers and sang with the school children. Evening was free and easy.
Today started with a medley of energisers followed by breakfast and then activities where the groups swapped once again to activities they have not done yet. After lunch, the groups pitted against one another in a high energy Helter Skelter round. Weather is pleasant and kids are enjoying.

Bombay Scottish - Bhillar Day 3
The groups were kept busy yesterday. They all enjoyed all their activities, the highlight being caving! The kids were tired by the end of the day. This morning, they were feeling lazy & got energised at chota hazari. They really like the camp song Boom Chika Rocka Chika & are singing it all day. All the groups have swapped activities from yesterday for both morning & afternoon sessions. The weather is very pleasant and kids are all enjoying very much!

Bombay Scottish - Bhillar Day 2
The group reached campus at 3pm yesterday afternoon. They were welcomed with hot lunch and warm smiles. After lunch, they had a briefing by the campus chief and then settled into their tents. The kids got into the activity groups soon after and started with ice breaker games and expectation sharing. They seemed to have liked the place and are all excited about the programme. In the evening, they played camp fun games and then went off into their tents after dinner.

New level of enthusiasm, energy, confidence and attitude!
It gives me immense pleasure to share that the class 11 camp to Kambre has had a different impact on our students and educators. The students have thoroughly enjoyed all the activities they were exposed too. They also shared the interactive sessions which were handled by your team. The exposure provided to them has lifted them to a whole new level of enthusiasm, energy, confidence and attitude.

Most REAL experience ever!
In their report to the rest of the school during assembly, they declared Youreka to be the most hands on, most relevant, most REAL experience ever! They felt empowered to go out into the world - not just to survive, but to make a difference. They strongly recommended the experience to every senior batch because schooling is not complete without the Youreka experience.

Went to a Youreka camp 17yrs ago...
I went to a Youreka camp about 17 yrs ago -- and I still remember it as the most positive and fascinating experience of my life at the time. I have camped in other places and countries since -- but heck, I miss the experience which Youreka provided when I was a kid.
A life changing experience!
I feel fortunate to have been associated so closely with the Youreka team and have had life changing experiences with them. Youreka is not just an adventure trip but a life changing experience- a must for all who want to get to know themselves. Each day at the camp unfolds a new facet of one’s personality and it won’t be wrong to say that Youreka is a journey of self discovery!

Level of satisfaction has increased!
I would also say that since we have asked Youreka to take over our outdoor education program with the senior program, the level of satisfaction with the program has increased noticeably with students and teachers.

A shift of focus of the students!
The Doon School has been working with Youreka for several years now, mainly to conduct Leadership workshops for the Prefects. However, realizing the value their workshops add to our students lives, we now have an year round programme for the entire school based on their E-STAR programme. The Youreka workshops have brought about a shift in the focus of the students that is greatly appreciated by the school and parents.
