S5 - Bairagarh Day 7
Yesterday's waterfall rappelling was the highlight of the trip for the kids. At night, many hidden talents came out of their shells & the kids then enjoyed dance and music after the Talent show. The music had to be stopped at 10.30 finally & the kids then reluctantly retired into their tents. This morning, kid did their closing ceremonies with sharing and appreciation. They had their lunch and then bid goodbye to the camp with mixed feelings. We hope you will listen to all their stories and continue their regular exposure to nature and the wonderful outdoors. Research shows that Nature is essential for the physical, mental and emotional well being of children while free play outdoors helps to build life skills like problem solving, decision making, risk taking and interpersonal relationships.

S5 - Bairagarh Day 4
The group enjoyed cliff jumping a lot yesterday and some did several jumps. After lunch, they set out for a visit to Rishikesh where they interacted with many people around the ghats. They got to experience Ganga Aarti in the evening which was a first for many. Some even sang bhajans there! This morning, the group went to learn survival skills in the morning, including tent pitching and fire making. Soon, they will pack their bags & head out for their night in the wilderness. They will navigate to a camping spot, set up camp & cook their own dinner. The group will return to camp tomorrow morning.

S5 - Bairagarh Day 3
Yesterday's uphill climb proved to be a challenging one as the kids were getting used to the gradients with their city legs :) They enjoyed the stream walk thoroughly. This morning, kids started the day with games at chota hazari and went for a cliff jump which they were totally looking forward to. Kids are doing great. It's hot and they love being in the cold river.

S5 - Bairagarh Day 2
Kids reached the campus at 3pm yesterday afternoon. The hungry kids immediately got to Lunch which was ready for them. Campus orientation and briefing followed and the kids then settled into their tents, getting to know their tent mates with whom they were going to stay for the next week. The bunch were quick to start playing together. They needed no ice breakers. Kho Kho was followed by expectation sharing and then Wag the Tail at camp fun.
This morning, energies were very high and kids were happy to welcome the Jaipur group to camp. Kids kick started the day on a high energy note at chota hazari. After breakfast, they went for an acclimatisation hike where they were (re)-introduced to LNT (Leave No Trace) principles and mountain manners. Kids have had lunch and will soon get into the river for a stream walk where they will learn to walk upstream in the river. They are all doing great.
This was her 6th Camp!
I have sent my daughter almost every year to a Youreka camp since she was age 9. So this was her 6th camp. She has gone to different locations and I have always been very happy about the arrangements and activities we chose. In this day and age of gadgets and distractions, Youreka is like a breath of fresh air. So many life skills and survival skills are taught. I personally have Youreka to thank for how she has shaped up as a person. Learnt to be independent and open to adventures. Three cheers!
New Story Everyday!
It is almost 4 months now since my daughter attended the J4 2016 at Youreka as a White Star participant. Till today hardly a day goes by without some new story from camp suddenly remembered, or some moment relived!
Went to a Youreka camp 17yrs ago...
I went to a Youreka camp about 17 yrs ago -- and I still remember it as the most positive and fascinating experience of my life at the time. I have camped in other places and countries since -- but heck, I miss the experience which Youreka provided when I was a kid.
"Absolutely amazing n awesome experience my holiday could not have been better than this " This is what my daughter said as soon as she met me .
New level of enthusiasm and confidence!
It gives me immense pleasure to share that the class 11 camp to Kambre has had a different impact on our students and educators. The students have thoroughly enjoyed all the activities they were exposed too. They also shared the interactive sessions which were handled by your team. The exposure provided to them has lifted them to a whole new level of enthusiasm, energy, confidence and attitude.
Wonderful Experience with Youreka. Everything was properly planned. Nice Hospitality, neat and clean place to stay. Tasty Food and amazing Mentors.. Looking forward for many more experience
I found her different, changed and very confident
When I received Meher at the railway station on the 20th of June, I found a different, changed and very confident Meher. There was something different about the way she was carrying herself. Her body language had changed. This very Meher who was so scared of dogs before she went for this trip, was actually getting a stray dog to smell her hand so as to get friendly with it. it took her 3, 4 days to get over the disappointment of coming back from the camp. She has shared so much with us and wants to go back every year. We as parents are very happy and thrilled and wish to thank everybody in The team Youreka for fantabulous work they do. Thanks once again.
