D1 - Dharamshala Day 7
YPL went really well yesterday & the kids were in high spirits! Some kids ran energisers with the whole group at the end of it as a gift to their leaders! There was high participation in the Talent Show with everyone doing one thing or another which made the Talent night a memorable one. This was followed by Music & Dance till 10pm!

Kids woke up to clear skies this morning. They packed up their bags and memories, cleaned their tents & had breakfast, ready for the morning closure activities. They did sharing, feedback & appreciation. They have had Lunch & will bid goodbye to the leaders, staff & campus soon. We hope you will listen to their stories and continue their regular exposure to Nature & the Outdoors. Apart from the benefits of Nature & it's essentiality in the physical, emotional & mental well-being of children, we would like to also request that you send your kids for unstructured, free play on a daily basis which is the best way for children to build life skills like problem solving, persuasion, decision making & initiative.

The weather stayed clear yesterday. The Snow Challenge group reached snow point yesterday at Laka and made it back to base camp by 8.50pm despite all the challenges they had faced in the last couple of days! Kudos to all of them! They were excitedly sharing their snow stories & the campus came alive. The other 2 groups had great nightouts with Black Star cooking in pairs and then sleeping out alone in the wilderness (their 2 challenges)! Red Star group had a great meal and slept in the tents they pitched.

The Black Star group returned to camp late morning after refreshing themselves in a stream walk. The Red Star group returned for breakfast & after freshening up went to challenge themselves on the friendship ladder. D1 - Dharamshala Day 5
Yesterday was a day that tested the kids' resilience and perseverance as well as taught them how to adapt to uncertainty & changes. It had started drizzling in the morning at 9am & the rain carried on for the day, getting heavy after 4pm. The Black Star kids managed to complete their trek & put up their shelters before the rains got heavy. They managed to put together their meal & have it. They were safe & cosy inside their sleeping bags in the tents last night. The Red star group played team games inside the big tent which they thoroughly enjoyed. They also learnt to pack a backpack blind-folded! They enjoyed snacks & hot soup in the evening. The Snow Challenge group had to wait it out at Triund. They engaged themselves in the kitchen tent and by evening moved to a guesthouse. They slept there. All the kids are safe & doing fine.

The sun came out & the skies were clear this morning. Black Star kids wound up the camp after breakfast & started their trek to their second nightout spot at Khaniyara. Here, they have couple of challenges lined up & weather permitting, they should have fun meeting the challenges. The Red Star group packed their bags after breakfast & set out early for their nightout while the weather is good. They will trek to a campsite, pitch their tents, cook their dinner & sleep in the wilderness. Snow Challenge wound up at the guesthouse, carried a packed lunch & made their way to Laka where they are expected to reach snowpoint. Kids are doing fine.
