‘Safety and standards First’ at YOUREKA At Youreka, we rigorously update risk management procedures and standards, and educate each child on the program. Our risk handling approach does not end at just saying “no” but at explaining “why not” and ‘how’.

All Youreka programs are run by Leave No Trace (LNT) ethics. LNT is about respecting and caring for the wild and for doing our part to protect our limited resources. The way to this is simple, but impactful: change of behavior.

Youreka participants learn to use minimum impact skills in every outdoor situation – how far to camp from water sources, where to pitch a tent, how to build a minimum impact fire (or whether to build one in the first place).
