Accommodation

Nestled in an Orchadale Estate at a height of 5100 feet surrounded by Coffee Plantations and Orange Trees, Jungle Outback is the highest permanent nature camp in South India. It is located approximately 355/250km from Chennai /Bangalore and is in close proximity from many excellent tourist destinations. Weather at Jungle Outback campus is cool even in Summer with temperatures ranging from 15° to 26° Celsius.

Destination / Property USP

Our campsite is in a wilderness setting. That means, accommodation is clean and comfortable but not luxurious. Our staff is friendly and helpful and will go out of the way to make you feel at ease.
Accomodation is in tents. Cots are provided for your comfort. There is a separate toilet complex with regular fittings and running water and is completely hygienic.
We have a kitchen where hot, nutritious & delicious meals are prepared for you. Our staff may be able to accommodate some special requests with prior notice depending on availability of ingredients & time.

How To Get There (from Chennai/Bangalore):

Drive up to Yercaud (approx 355/250km) – 9/7 hrs
Take a morning train to Salem, followed by a 2hr ride up to campus
Take a flight to Salem, followed by a 2hr ride up to campus

Do-It-Yourself Camping – Trek with a map & compass into the wilderness for a Day out. Pitch your tent & cook your own food!

Rock-Climbing – Trek to a rock face & try your hands at rock climbing with 100% safe equipment. You may be surprised at what you can accomplish!

Rapelling – Experience the thrill of coming down a steep rock face. It’s WOW!

Archery, Rifle Shooting – The fun never ends at our campsite. Try your hands at being a marksman

Tariff:
Package of 3 day/2 night on Twin Sharing basis with 6 buffet meals and evening snacks with tea. Also includes any 2 activities (extra charges for Mountain Biking)
